DW Performance Series 5-piece Shell Pack with 22 inch Bass Drum - Ebony Stain

The DW Performance Series 5-piece Shell Pack offers professional-quality craftsmanship at a real-world price. Handbuilt in DW’s California factory using HVX North American maple, these shells are designed for drummers seeking authentic DW tone without the fully custom price. The HVX grain orientation combines horizontal, vertical, and diagonal plies for a deep, balanced fundamental, while heat-formed and Cool Tempered shells maximize strength, roundness, and resonance. Toms feature pinpoint 45° back-cut bearing edges for enhanced attack and head response, and the 22” bass drum features 60° edges for rich depth and effortless playability.

Performance Series shells use much of the same hardware found on DW's Collector's Series, including washer-less STM suspension tom mounts, fine-threaded True-Pitch tension rods, and reduced-size Quarter Turret lugs. Graduated counter hoops are weighted per shell size for a dynamic balance of attack and sustain, giving you a responsive, articulate kit that performs in both studio and live settings. Finished in sleek Ebony Stain Gloss with chrome hardware, this 5-piece shell pack is the foundation for your dream DW kit.
